YOKOGAWA WT500 Power Analyser (call for availability)The Yokogawa WT500 Power Analyser is a Mid Range product for single phase and three phase power measurements. It is designed into a compact half-rack size chassis which can also be double rack mounted. Standard features include a color TFT display and USB interfaces for communications and memory. The instrument has a basic accuracy of 0.1%, maximum inputs of 1000 Vrms, 40 Arms and a measurement bandwidth of DC to 100 kHz.As internet and personal computer usage expand at exponential rates, so does a growing demand for energy efficient computers and servers. Leading this movement is the Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation (SPEC), who publishes benchmarks that evaluate the power and performance characteristics of volume server class and multi-node class computers. SPEC is a non-profit corporation, formed to establish, maintain and endorse standardized benchmarks for the latest generation of high-performance computers. The SPECpower_ssj2008 V1.10 Industry-Standard Benchmark is the first of its kind. This benchmark measures power consumption in relation to the performance of server-class computers. It makes use of highly accurate Power Analysers to make these power measurements. Some of the key requirements of the Power Analysers listed by SPEC are:

  • Over all measurement accuracy of 1 % or better
  • Store measurements to an external device at a rate = 1/sec
  • Crest Factor of at least 3 or greater
  • Start and Stop recording/logging from an external controller
  • Analyser calibration must be traceable to NIST (U.S.A)
  • The Yokogawa WT500 Power Analyser is listed and endorsed as an accepted device by SPEC for performing these accurate power measurements. With a bandwidth of DC and 0.5 Hz to 100 kHz, the Yokogawa WT500 Power Analyser offers a base accuracy down to 0.1 %. The meter can be controlled by an external controller using USB, GPIB or Ethernet communication interfaces and can provide update rates as fast as 10/sec (100msec).Features and Specifications of the Yokogawa WT500 Power Analyser include:
