The Amplifier Research 1000T2G8B is a self-contained, forced-air cooled TWT microwave amplifier designed for applications demanding wide bandwidth and high RF power. It delivers a minimum of 1000 W over most of the 2–8 GHz range using two 535 W microwave tubes matched in gain and phase. A front-panel digital display shows forward/reflected output power and extensive diagnostics via menu-driven soft keys, including helix current, voltage levels, and temperature metrics.
With IEEE-488 (GPIB), VSWR protection, gain control, RF sampling, and a modular internal design, the 1000T2G8B is ideal for EMC susceptibility testing, industrial research, and academic labs. It features a switching-mode power supply for reduced weight, wheels, leveling feet, and lifting hooks for easy transport.
