The Amplifier Research 1000T8G18B is a self-contained, forced-air cooled TWT microwave amplifier delivering a minimum of 1000 W across most of the 8–18 GHz range. It uses four factory-matched 300 W microwave tubes combined for optimal gain and harmonic control. A digital front-panel display provides real-time forward/reflected power readings and comprehensive system diagnostics, including helix current, cathode and collector voltages, and temperature metrics.
Designed for EMC RF susceptibility testing, industrial R&D, and academic use, it offers VSWR protection, gain control, IEEE-488 (GPIB), RF sampling, auto-sleep mode, and modular RF/power components for service ease. Built-in wheels, leveling feet, and lifting hooks ensure easy deployment.
