The Amplifier Research 10S4G18 is a portable, self‑contained, air‑cooled broadband solid‑state amplifier delivering instantaneous 4–18 GHz coverage. It produces ≥10 W from 5–18 GHz and ≥7 W from 4–5 GHz, with 40 dB gain (≥10 dB adjustable), low spurious output and ±3 dB typical flatness. A Digital Control Panel with LCD provides gain setting, detailed status and key‑lockable local/remote control. Remote interfaces include GPIB/IEEE‑488, RS‑232 (copper/fiber), USB 2.0 and Ethernet; 50 Ω I/O and robust input overdrive protection enhance reliability.
Ideal for RF susceptibility, antenna and component testing, it faithfully reproduces AM, FM and pulse modulation and supports sweep‑generator driven testing. Broad standards coverage suits communication technologies such as GSM, TDMA, CDMA, W‑CDMA, UWB and WiMAX; power is expandable as needs grow.
