The Amplifier Research 15T4G18 is a self-contained, forced-air-cooled broadband traveling-wave-tube (TWT) microwave amplifier engineered for low-harmonic output in sub-band ranges, offering wide instantaneous bandwidth, high gain, and moderate power. Its dependable micro-TWT delivers a conservative 15 watts minimum at the output connector, or 10 watts when operating in low-harmonic modes, with all power specs referenced to the fundamental frequency.
The front panel’s digital display presents forward and reflected output alongside detailed system status via soft-key menus. Standard features include IEEE-488 (GPIB) interface, 0 dBm input, VSWR protection, gain control, and an RF output sample port. It also monitors critical metrics like TWT helix current, cathode voltage, collector voltage, heater current, heater voltage, as well as baseplate and cabinet temperatures.
