The Amplifier Research 2500L is an economical, self-contained broadband amplifier offering instantaneous bandwidth, high gain, and high power output in a more compact contemporary enclosure than similar units. All key operating functions are grouped on the front panel with illuminated push-button switches (POWER, STANDBY, OPERATE, Low Range), an output level control, and a meter for monitoring voltages and currents.
Equipped with rugged circuitry and a fast-acting solid-state crowbar circuit to protect the final amplifier tubes from internal arcing, the 2500L supports rapid gating or blanking via an electronic circuit. It features a remote control interface for POWER, STANDBY, OPERATE, and PULSE functions, compatible with TTL signals or IEEE‑488 when used with Model CP3000A.
