The Amplifier Research 250T1G3 is a broadband traveling wave tube (TWT) amplifier delivering a conservative 250W minimum and up to 300W nominal output power over 1–2.5 GHz. It features 53 dB gain, VSWR protection, flatness within ±12 dB (±5 dB equalized), and faithful reproduction of AM, FM, and pulse modulation. Its modular design incorporates a lightweight switching power supply, forced-air cooling, and IEEE-488 (GPIB) interface. The digital front panel display provides real-time system status, including forward/reflected output, power on, standby, faults, and thermal monitoring.
With advanced capabilities like video pulse input, RF output sample port, gain control, auto-sleep mode, and robust mismatch tolerance, the AR 250T1G3 supports demanding RF testing environments.
