The Amplifier Research 30W1000 is a portable, self-contained, air-cooled broadband solid-state amplifier engineered for wideband applications demanding instantaneous bandwidth and high gain. It employs push-pull circuitry in the high-power stages to reduce distortion and enhance stability. A front-panel gain control allows precise setting of the output level, while a digital display indicates operating status and fault conditions such as over-temperature, power supply, or amplifier errors.
Paired with an RF sweep generator, the Amplifier Research 30W1000 delivers a minimum of 30 watts of swept power. Its RF amplifier stages are protected from over-temperature by automatic removal of DC voltage if cooling blockage or fan failure occurs. The unit additionally supports both local and remote control via a microprocessor board featuring IEEE-488 (GPIB) and full-duplex RS-232 capabilities.
