The Amplifier Research (AR) 500T1G2 is a broadband traveling wave tube (TWT) amplifier, providing 500 watts CW output across 1–2.5 GHz with 57 dB gain. It features forced air cooling, a digital display for forward/reflected power and status, plus IEEE-488 (GPIB) interface. Specifications include VSWR protection, gain adjustment, RF output sample port, and monitoring of helix current, voltages, currents, and temperatures.
