The Amplifier Research 800A3 is a self-contained, broadband solid-state amplifier delivering a minimum of 800 watts swept power across 10 kHz–3 MHz. It features selectable output impedances from 12.5 to 400 ohms, gain up to 60 dB, and excellent mismatch tolerance with up to 6:1 VSWR handling. The unit incorporates a digital control panel with real-time display of forward and reflected power, plus RS-232, GPIB/IEEE-488, and USB remote interfaces.
Designed for applications including plasma generation, EMC testing, ultrasound, fluorescent lighting, and piezoelectric devices, the 800A3 ensures versatility in demanding R&D and laboratory environments. It may also serve as a standalone amplifier or as a sub-unit in higher power systems up to 5000 watts.
