The Amplifier Research 800A3B is an 800-watt, self-contained, air-cooled solid-state amplifier delivering 10 kHz–3 MHz bandwidth with selectable impedance outputs (12.5–400 ohms). It offers 60 dB minimum gain, 23 dB continuous gain adjustment, excellent mismatch tolerance, and forward/reflected power monitoring via a color LCD control panel. Remote interfaces include GPIB, RS-232, Ethernet, and USB for full operational flexibility.
Designed for demanding RF environments such as ultrasound, plasma generation, EMC testing, mass spectrometry, piezoelectric setups, and general R&D, it supports AM, FM, and pulse modulation. Its impedance-matching transformer allows seamless switching without risk during testing.
