The MP2100A BERTWave combines a bit error rate tester with an eye/pulse sampling oscilloscope in one compact unit, for simultaneous BER and eye-mask testing of optical modules and transceivers. The BERT runs from 8.5 to 11.32 Gbit/s plus sub-rates, extended to 125 Mbit/s-12.5 Gbit/s with option 090.
Receiver options configure dual electrical or optical/single-ended electrical scope inputs, with optional second PPG/ED channel, XFP/SFP+ slots, clock recovery and Bessel filter banks. Typical applications are SFP+/XFP and 10G-class optical transceiver production test.
