California Instruments AST3003 AC/DC Power Source This easy-to-configure design of the California Instruments AST3003 features sophisticated technology for delivering high performance, programmable AC and DC power. When the power source is configured for 3-Phase output, each phase has individual settings. Applications for the California Instruments AST3001 AC power source include military avionics testing, AC power simulation, manufacturing and process control as well as IEC standards testing. The California Instruments AST3001 AC power source is the latest generation of switched-mode power sources that provide precise output having high accuracy, low distortion, and fast dynamic response. Multiple remote digital communications interfaces are available: standard LAN (Ethernet), USB, and RS-232C, or the optional IEEE-488 (GPIB) interface. Waveform generation includes standard sine wave and square wave, and extensive programmability to produce complex waveforms based on harmonics or arbitrary parameter value/time relationships. A transient generator could combine sequences of voltage, frequency, and wave shape to simulate real-world AC or DC disturbances, and automate a complex profile of power stimulus to the unit under test.
