The Kaelus iPA-0901A is a battery-powered, IEC-compliant passive intermodulation (PIM) analyser for the EGSM900 band, rated at 2 x 20 W. It is built for tower-top, tower-base, rooftop and in-building DAS testing, with local touch-screen control or remote control from any Wi-Fi device with a web browser. It measures reverse (reflected) 3rd and 5th order PIM and shuts down automatically on high return loss.
Operating modes include spectrum monitor, PIM-versus-frequency sweep and PIM-versus-time trace, with on-instrument report generation. Adding the optional RTF-1000 Range to Fault module locates both PIM and return loss faults by distance.
