The 71612B is a 70000-series modular error performance analyser combining pattern generator and error detector for 1 to 12 Gb/s, extendable down to 100 Mb/s with a clock source extension. It provides PRBS and user patterns with memory for multiple SONET/SDH frames at OC-192/STM-64, and error location analysis for pattern-dependent errors.
Used in R&D and manufacturing test of lightwave components, sub-assemblies and high-capacity communication systems; optional E4543A Q-factor/eye contour and E4544A OC-192/STM-64 application software.
