The Wavecontrol WaveMon RF-8 is a wearable personal RF monitor for electric and magnetic fields up to 8 GHz, with isotropic true-RMS sensors. It warns the wearer visually (6 LEDs), acoustically and by vibration at two user-adjustable limits, and records exposure history for later evaluation. Response-shaped versions are available for ICNIRP/EU Directive (ICN, EUD), FCC and Safety Code 6.
The data logger holds over 1,000,000 events with logging and averaging intervals of 1 s to 60 min, downloaded over USB, which also charges the two AA NiMH cells. Fall detection is standard, and GPS and an altimeter are optional.
