The N4876A is a 2:1 multiplexer front end that combines two pattern generator channels to extend the J-BERT N4903B to 28.4 Gb/s (ParBERT 81250A to 27.0 Gb/s). It offers variable output levels, low intrinsic jitter and fast transition times in a half-rack-width box that can sit close to the device under test.
Operated locally or remotely via the J-BERT N4903B or a stand-alone user interface; counterpart to the N4877A CDR/demultiplexer for next-generation serial interface characterisation.
