The N4951A is a compact pattern generator remote head for the N4960A Serial BERT controller, available in 4 to 17 Gb/s and 5 to 32 Gb/s versions. It generates PRBS and user-defined patterns across its full data-rate range with no gaps, and its remote-head format allows it to sit close to the device under test.
Used for 100 GbE (25/28 Gb/s), InfiniBand EDR/FDR, 16G/32G Fibre Channel, SerDes, CFP/SFP+/XFP and CEI backplane testing.
