The Viavi (JDSU) CellAdvisor JD746A is an RF analyser combining a 100 kHz to 4 GHz spectrum analyser, 5 MHz to 4 GHz cable and antenna analyser and 10 MHz to 4 GHz power meter. It is intended for base station installation, acceptance testing and physical-layer troubleshooting. A built-in preamplifier and optional interference analyser allow signals down to -155 dBm to be identified and located.
Unlike the JD745A/B base station analysers it has no technology-specific signal demodulation options; options add 2-port transmission, bias tee, CW generator, GPS, interference analysis, channel scanner and optical power metering.
