The Haefely / Hipotronics 880PL-10MA-A Hipot Tester is the ideal and economical solution to DC field testing of cables, terminations, motors, generators and other electrical apparatus. Its simple control panel makes it easy to use and makes for minimal setup time. The Hipotronics 880PL-10MA-A features accurate kilovoltmeter readings regardless of load current. Voltage measurements are taken directly at the output of the high voltage transformer, while cur is measured at the return leg to ensure the highest accuracy.
Ideal for field testing applications, the Haefely / Hipotronics 880PL-10MA-A Hipot Tester outputs up to 80kV DC in a portable, rugged, self-contained enclosure. Output power is created through a full-wave, voltage doubling, silicon rectifier circuit. Safe discharging of both the test object and internal transformer occur whenever high voltage is switched off. The Haefely / Hipotronics 880PL-10MA-A Hipot Tester can be used to test a variety of high voltage equipment, including MV and HV cables, transformers, electrical switchgear, motor, generators, and other electrical apparatus.
