5048 is the much-awaited follow up to the 1.3 GHz TR1300/1 VNA. It also runs on an external PC, but now has a greater frequency range and greater accuracy. It is easily transported between work stations and offers a great value solution for magnitude and phase measurements up to 4.8 GHz. This VNA comes in two configurations, S5048 and TR5048. The difference between these configurations is the number of S-parameters that can be measured, based on the number of signal sources and receivers.
