The N4916A is a de-emphasis signal converter for characterising gigabit serial ports and channels that use de-emphasised (pre-emphasised) signals. It provides variable post-cursor de-emphasis up to 12 dB on differential outputs at data rates up to 13.5 Gb/s, with jitter feed-through for worst-case testing.
Operated from the J-BERT N4903A or 81141A/81142A serial pulse data generator user interface. Used for PCI Express 1/2, SATA 3G, FB-DIMM, CEI 6/11G and 10 GbE receiver testing.
