The North Atlantic 2250 Phase Angle Voltmeter, also known as a Digital Analyzing Voltmeter is one of the most versatile  AC measurement tools in the market.  The North Atlantic 2250 Meter employs a microprocessor-based design that combines many  of the capabilities of today's network / waveform analyzers in a digital voltmeter configuration.

One touch makes highly accurate ratio measurements in both phase-sensitive and voltage modes; measures percent,  Total Harmonic Distortion and the magnitude and phase of selected harmonic; computes the percent deviation of a  signal from a selected nominal value, plus more. The magnitude of the signal can be displayed in db (20 log 10)  relative to either the reference input or a selected value.

Features of the North Atlantic 2250 Phase Angle Voltmeter include:

The instrument is exceptionally €œuser friendly ". Unlike menu driven Instruments, by simply pressing individual switches on the front panel, you can access a wide number of single touch functions, such as:
  • Total, Fundamental, In-phase and Quadrature voltage and Phase Angle measurements
  • Reference phase offset from the Signal by up to 360 º
  • Highly accurate Ratio measurements in both phase-sensitive and voltage modes
  • Measurement of Total Harmonic Distortion and magnitude and phase of a selected harmonic
  • Computation of the percent deviation of a signal from a selected Nominal value
  • Display of magnitude in db relative to either the Reference input or a selected value
  • Reference Frequency & Amplitude Measurement
  • Individual Voltage Ranges & Full Autorange
  • Local & Remote IEEE, GPIB Programming

The 2250 calibrates itself. At turn-on or frequency change, the instrument automatically initiates a self-calibration sequence. This checks critical performance criteria and makes internal adjustments that maximize accuracy. This sequence can be initiated by the user at any time. Long term accuracy and stability is thus assured.
