The Keysight (Agilent) 8657A is a synthesised signal generator with a frequency range of 100kHz to 1.04GHz, amplitude range from -143.5dBm to +13dBm, and output level resolution of 0.1dB. It includes AM, FM, and optional pulse modulation with low residual FM and SSB phase noise as low as -136dBc/Hz at 20kHz offset. Designed with an all-electronic attenuator, it ensures level accuracy within ±1.0dB.
This model is ideal for in-channel and out-of-channel receiver testing, offering simultaneous AM/FM modulations and phase control, enhancing precision in characterising phase-sensitive devices.
