The Keysight (Agilent) 16453A Dialectric Material Test Fixture is engineered for precise dielectric constant and loss tangent measurements when used with the E4991A, 4291A, and 4291B Impedance Analyzers. Utilizing the parallel-plate method, it sandwiches the test material between two electrodes, forming a capacitor whose capacitance is measured by the analyzer. The fixture includes a flexible electrode that self-adjusts to the surface, eliminating the need for manual parallelism adjustments required in the 16451B. This built-in automation enhances accuracy and repeatability, offering convenience for materials research and characterization.
The 16453A supports relative complex permittivity calculation through option 002 firmware and ensures seamless integration with Keysight analyzers for consistent performance across measurement setups.
