The Keysight (Agilent) 3730A Downconverter, equipped with an Oscillator plug-in, is designed to down-convert RF signals to IF by mixing them with a near-frequency Oscillator signal. It delivers an IF output between 45 and 95 MHz, typically centered at 70 MHz. An automatic frequency control (AFC) feature ensures consistent 70 MHz IF output by dynamically tuning the Oscillator to offset RF input drift.
This device supports the design, testing, and maintenance of microwave links and extends the HP Microwave Link Analyzer’s capability into the RF domain.
