The Keysight (Agilent) 486A is a precision waveguide thermistor mount designed for accurate microwave power measurements in the K-band frequency range (18.0 to 26.5 GHz). It offers high sensitivity, measuring power levels from 1 μW to 10 mW, with a maximum average power input of 30 mW. The device features temperature compensation to minimize drift due to thermal variations, ensuring measurement stability. Each unit includes calibration factors and effective efficiency data at six frequencies, traceable to the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). With a maximum SWR of 2.0, it ensures good impedance matching and is compatible with HP 431 and 432 power meters.
