The Keysight (Agilent) 4944A Transmission Impairment Measuring Set precisely measures analog parameters such as signal-to-noise ratio, loss, impulse noise, envelope delay distortion, and more, on voice bandwidth data circuits. It supports master-slave operation for 4-wire circuits, features a wide frequency range (200Hz–3950Hz transmitter, 200Hz–4100Hz receiver), and fine level resolution down to 0.1 dBm. It includes selectable impedances (600Ω, 900Ω) and built-in filters (C-message, 3kHz flat, notch).
The 4944A features an automatic self-checking capability and adjustable impulse noise threshold (30–109 dBrn), making it suitable for C- and D-conditioned leased line testing.
