The Keysight (Agilent) 81642A Tunable Laser operates across the C- and L-Bands with a wavelength range of 1510nm to 1640nm, delivering a maximum output power of +7dBm. It features mode-hop free tuning, built-in real-time wavelength meter, and ±0.015nm wavelength accuracy, making it ideal for high-power optical amplifier and passive component testing. Its dual optical outputs include Panda type polarization-maintaining fiber.
Designed for DWDM system testing, the 81642A enables continuous wavelength sweeps with high repeatability of ±0.5 pm. Though replaced by model 81642B, it remains upgradeable and highly functional.
