The Keysight (Agilent) 86105A is a dual-channel plug-in module designed for the 86100A Infiniium DCA Oscilloscope Mainframe, offering both 20 GHz optical and 20 GHz electrical measurement capabilities. Each channel features switchable bandwidth settings—12.4 GHz for low-noise operation and 20 GHz for high-speed fidelity. The optical input includes a calibrated SDH/SONET reference receiver with switchable filters for compliance at 155, 622, 2488, and 9953 Mb/s.
The integrated optical channel, calibrated at 1310 nm and 1550 nm, eliminates distortion from external cabling and allows direct display of waveform amplitude in optical power units. This enables accurate signal average power measurements and real-time waveform characterization. Multiple connector types and reference filter options allow flexible system configuration.
