The Keysight (Agilent) 8970B Noise Figure Meter delivers microprocessor-controlled precision in measuring noise figure and gain across 10 MHz to 1600 MHz, with optional extension to 2 GHz. Designed for RF and microwave systems (with external LO), it offers 0 to 30 dB noise figure range with ±0.1 dB uncertainty, and -20 to +40 dB gain measurement range with ±0.15 dB uncertainty. ENR calibration tables can be stored internally for automatic frequency-based interpolation. Calibrated results are displayed on oscilloscope or recorder, supported by advanced function enhancements.
Compatible with IFs from 10 to 1500 MHz, the 8970B simplifies high-accuracy testing of active and passive devices. Recommended use with 346A/B/C noise sources for optimal results.
