The Keysight (Agilent) E4864A enhances mid-speed ParBERT systems by transforming them into precise pattern generators for SERDES, digital-video, and GigE device testing. It features a differential output delivering low-jitter data streams up to 1.33 Gb/s with programmable voltage swing and edge speed. The unit includes built-in PRBS/PRWS pattern memory and an on-card delay line supporting ±500 ps jitter insertion for accurate signal testing.
Supporting bit rates from 333 Mb/s to 1.33 Gb/s with 1 Hz steps, the E4864A includes a 50 Ω differential output, wide voltage swing, sharp edge transitions, and compact single-slot design to optimize chassis use.
