The MVG EME Guard XS is a compact, wearable personal EMF monitor that warns workers near antennas when field levels exceed reference levels, for example during climbing and site maintenance. Tri-axis isotropic E-field sensors scan continuously from 80 MHz to 6 GHz, detecting 5 to 350 V/m. A 7-LED colour scale and a two-tone audio alarm show the exposure level.
The alarm threshold is set at the MVG factory on request, to suit ICNIRP, FCC 96-326, Safety Code 6 or Directive 2013/35/EU limits. It runs over 1000 hours on two N-size alkaline cells when no alarm is triggered. A 40 GHz version (EME Guard XS 40 GHz, 80 MHz-40 GHz) also exists.
