The BERT-1102 is a 4- or 8-channel pulse pattern generator and error detector for designing, characterising and testing optical transceivers and opto-electrical components, supporting NRZ and PAM4 for systems up to 400 Gb/s. The -PXIE version is a 2-slot PXIe module; each error detector channel has its own CDR and the PPG has an internal clock synthesiser, so no external clock source or clock recovery is needed.
Available as 4 or 8 channels in PXIe (-PXIE) or MATRIQ benchtop (-MTRQ, USB/Ethernet) form; PPG has 7-tap de-emphasis and the receiver has adjustable CTLE and FFE. Up to 64 synchronised channels can be fitted in one PXIe chassis.
