The Tektronix 2706 RF Preselector enhances the flexibility and accuracy of Tektronix 271X Series spectrum analyzers, particularly for EMI applications. It features seven bandpass filter steps from 9 kHz to 1000 MHz and a high-pass filter from 1000 MHz to 1800 MHz, effectively reducing distortion by attenuating out-of-band signals. It also improves broadband dynamic range by increasing sensitivity to low-level signals.
The device offers manual and remote operation through front-panel controls or a GPIB-equipped controller, and includes a bypass mode for quick removal from the test circuit without disconnection.
