The Anritsu ME3630A is designed to evaluate high-speed repeater spans in STM‑64 (STS‑192) networks. It features independent transmitter and receiver units where the transmitter generates STM‑64/STS‑192 signals and the receiver measures errors, alarms, and performance parameters. The instrument supports pseudo‑random patterns from 2^7‑1 to 2^31‑1, configurable mark‑ratios, and error injection functions such as B1, AIS, and FERF. It also provides path‑layer evaluation through STM‑1/STS‑3 signal embedding and extraction.
This solution is widely applied for stress testing, path validation, and clock recovery assessments. Its compatibility with STM‑1 test instruments enhances flexibility for combined section and path analysis.
