The Anritsu MP1777A is a jitter measuring instrument for OTN G.709, FEC and standard telecom rates. Fully conforming to ITU‑T O.172 and Telcordia, it measures and generates jitter with up to 80 MHz bandwidth and 3200 UIp‑p modulation at 10 Gb/s and FEC rates. Built‑in modulator/demodulator and automated functions enable accurate characterization of Jitter Tolerance, Jitter Transfer and Output Jitter for transmission equipment, optical modules and CDRs.
Supported interfaces include OC‑48/STM‑16, OC‑96/STM‑32 and OC‑192/STM‑64, plus FEC rates used in submarine systems. The high‑sensitivity input option measures signals from 150 mVp‑p. Automatic Jitter Sweep shortens production test time.
