The Anritsu MT9080C configured for 1645–1655 nm targets higher‑wavelength fiber segments in exotic PON backhaul. It combines OTDR, power meter, light source, visible tracer, and fiber ID in one handheld unit. With ≈1 m event dead‑zone, 5 cm resolution, and ~26–38 dB dynamic range, it resolves short events and long spans. Telcordia‑compatible files, USB export, and waveform storage/comparison streamline QC reporting.
A single‑port connector and the intuitive Top Menu GUI let users switch modes quickly. Optional IP/Ethernet diagnostics extend troubleshooting across access, metro, and backhaul links.
