The Anritsu MW9076B is a compact handheld OTDR designed for precise fiber fault detection and loss analysis in single-mode networks. Operating at dual wavelengths of 1310 nm and 1550 nm, it offers dynamic ranges of up to 45 dB and 43 dB respectively. With a Fresnel dead zone of ~1.6 m and a backscatter dead zone of 8 m, it ensures exceptional near-end measurement accuracy. The device supports ultra-fast auto sweeps (~10 s) and real-time sweeps (~0.15 s) powered by ASIC acceleration. It delivers high-resolution 5 cm waveforms using 50 000 sample points, and includes ~18 MB internal memory with support for PC-card and hard-disk storage.
Additional features include an optional 635 nm visible light source, optical power meter modules with ranges –70 to +3 dBm or –50 to +23 dBm, and external optical channel selectors for advanced multi-core fiber measurements via RS-232C connectivity.
