The Anritsu MW98A delivers precise optical measurements including fault position, splice loss, splice position, and fiber loss. It supports multi-mode fibers at 0.85µm and 1.3µm, and single-mode fibers at 1.3µm and 1.5µm. With a 72km measurement range and 16dB dynamic range, it offers 1µm distance resolution and 0.01dB loss precision. A 16-bit CPU enhances speed for averaging and loss analysis, while plug-in optical units and an intuitive CRT display simplify use.
