California Instruments MX135-3PI AC Power Source The California Instruments MX135-3PI AC power source consists of multiple high power AC and DC power systems that provide controlled AC and DC output for ATE and product test applications. Using state-of-the-art PWM switching techniques, the MX135 power source combines compactness, robustness and functionality in a compact floor-standing chassis. For advanced test applications, the programmable controller version offers full arbitrary waveform generation, time and frequency domain measurements, and voltage and cur waveform capture. For higher power requirements, the California Instruments MX135-3PI provide multiple controllers which allow separation of the high power system into two or three individual MX45 units for use in separate applications. This high power AC and DC test system covers a wide spectrum of AC and DC power applications and is designed to meet AC source requirements for use in compliance testing such as IEC 61000, 3-2, 3-3, 3-11, 3-12. The MX135-3PI features the ability to both source and sink cur, i.e. bi-directional cur flow. This mode of operation is particularly useful when testing grid-tied products that feed energy back onto the grid.
