The Narda Nardalert XT D8862 is a body-worn personal RF monitor that warns the wearer when field levels rise above set thresholds. Its tri-sensor design (diode surface-area, diode dipole and thermocouple E-field sensors) covers 100 kHz to 100 GHz, so it handles multi-signal communications and combined communications/radar environments. The frequency response is shaped to the occupational exposure standard of the chosen version.
Five high-intensity LEDs (visible in sunlight), two audio alarms and an internal vibrator give the warnings. The 8862 series is the version without the 8860's continuous data logging; settings are changed with the optional interface kit.
