The 71612C is a 12.5 Gb/s pattern generator and error performance analyser covering 100 Mb/s to 12.5 Gb/s for R&D and manufacturing test of lightwave and digital components. It supports 10.6 Gb/s Ethernet and FEC rates and has four sub-rate outputs generating 3.125 Gb/s patterns for XAUI testing.
Features include burst-mode gating for recirculating loop tests, auto decision threshold and phase alignment, error location analysis, Q-factor and eye-contour measurement; used for submarine systems, SONET/SDH and datacom transceivers and optical amplifiers.
