The M8051A is a 2-slot AXIe BERT module for the J-BERT M8020A high-performance BERT, providing pattern generator and analyser channels at up to 8.5 or 16 Gb/s. It extends an M8020A system so that up to 10 generator and analyser channels can be fitted in a 14-slot AXIe chassis, with clock synchronisation between all modules. It offers integrated calibrated jitter injection, 8-tap de-emphasis, adjustable ISI, built-in clock recovery and equalisation.
Clocked from an M8041A via the M8051A-801 clock distribution cable. Speed, BERT capability, second channel, jitter, de-emphasis, ISI and link-training features are licence-upgradeable; used for multi-lane PCIe, USB, SAS and 10GBASE-KR testing.
