The Keysight (Agilent) 37724A is a portable, all-in-one SDH/PDH test set designed for network validation from 2 Mb/s (E1) up to 622 Mb/s (STM-4). It supports generation and analysis of SDH overhead and tributary payloads with flexible payload mappings at 2, 34, and 140 Mb/s, down to 64 kb/s timeslots. Equipped with drop/insert and transmit/receive PDH ports and integrated electrical interfaces, it enables effective SDH/PDH cross-multiplexer testing. Optional plug-in optical modules support 1310 nm and 1550 nm wavelengths.
The 37724A verifies alarms, error monitoring, pointer processing, APS switching, and desynchronization circuits, presenting results on a large, user-friendly display in both text and graphical formats.
