The Keysight (Agilent) 4952A is a 64 kbps synchronous portable protocol analyzer engineered for detailed network troubleshooting and maintenance. This unit supports protocols like Async, BSC, SDLC (NRZI), HDLC, X.25, SNA, DDCMP, and custom-defined protocols. It features unattended remote testing, autoconfiguration, cursor timing, RS-170 video output, and 3.5” microfloppy disc storage with 618K byte capacity. A dedicated RS-232C/V.24 port allows printing to ASCII printers, while onboard nonvolatile memory stores critical data and configurations.
Ideal for use in testing X.21, simulating network components, performing BER tests, and analyzing link-level performance, the 4952A also functions as an asynchronous terminal for 3270 equipment installations.
