The Keysight (Agilent) 83434A is a 10 Gb/s lightwave receiver that delivers linear, non-retimed data and recovers clock signals from SDH/SONET STM-64/OC-192 and FEC-enhanced signals up to 10.664 Gb/s. It utilizes an amplified PIN receiver with AGC stabilization, achieving –16 dBm sensitivity and BER performance of at least 1E-10 with PRBS to 2^31–1.
Designed for integration with the Agilent Infiniium DCA and 71612B analyzers, it enables precise optical eye diagram, Q-factor, and BER measurements when no external clock is present.
