The Keysight (Agilent) 83480A Digital Communications Analyzer is a modular, high-performance platform for analyzing high-speed digital waveforms. Supporting up to two plug-in modules, it accommodates both optical and electrical signal testing with bandwidths up to 50 GHz. Optical channels include calibrated reference receivers for SDH/SONET, Fibre Channel, and Gigabit Ethernet standards at 155 Mbps to 9.953 Gbps. TDR and TDT options are also available for analyzing and optimizing PCB transmission lines.
Preloaded with standard compliance templates and eye diagram masks—including OC-1, OC-192, STM-64, Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and PDH E-series—the 83480A is ideal for transmitter validation and digital communications waveform characterization.
