The  Tektronix 80C17 Optical Module is a single Channel Optical Module used for testing high-speed optical communication systems. It is designed to work with TektronixX DSA8300 Digital Serial Analyzer mainframes and provides optical-to-electrical (O/E) conversion of incoming optical signals, as well as electrical-to-optical (E/O) conversion of outgoing electrical signals. Tektronix 80C17 Optical Module  provides >30 GHz full bandwidth and fully integrated optical reference receivers (ORR)6, enabling conformance testing of both single and multi-mode conformance testing at 850, 1310 and 1550 nm.

The  Tektronix 80C17 Optical Module supports two independent channels, with each channel featuring a high-speed photodetector for O/E conversion and a laser diode for E/O conversion. It is capable of operating at data rates up to 12.5 Gb/s, with low added jitter and noise to ensure accurate measurements. The module supports a variety of optical connector types, including FC, SC, and LC. It also includes built-in power and wavelength monitors to ensure stable and consistent performance over time.
