The AC+DC modes extend the applications beyond pure AC voltage to include DC components, making it ideal for laboratory testing of DC offset. The Chroma 61505 AC power sources provide maximum flexibility—from R&D design verification and quality assurance to production testing.
With versatile programmable voltage functions and user-friendly operation software, the 61505 AC source allows users to perform pre-compliance tests against IEC 61000-4-11 and compliance tests against IEC 61000-4-13, -4-14, and -4-28 immunity test regulations. Thanks to its low impedance and low voltage harmonic characteristics, model 61505 can serve as a standard source for 230V/16A IEC 61000-3-2 testing.
The Chroma 61505 has a built-in 16-bit measurement circuit and firmware utilities to measure both steady and transient responses of:

- Current
- True power
- Apparent power (VA)
- Reactive power (VAR)
- Power factor
- Current crest factor
- Peak repetitive current
- Inrush current
